Actually a waste of time because I can't even see my face clearly in the teacher's photo.

Luckily the hall is airconed so no longer a torture to stand in the sun.

The first annual gotong Royong is on today and I took this opportunity to clear up my desk of all the unwanted items. You will be surprised to know what you had accumulated for the past one year.

Orientation Day

Orientation for the 16-20 batch.

Orientation ceremony begins at 9 am.
Many young/future ExaMachs accompanied by their parents had already seated in the hall by 8:30 am.

Back to School 20 years later

Not me but my first batch of Jit Sin Students whom I taught in Form 5 from 1994-1995. Some of them I also taught in lower 6.

Usually I will not attend this type of event but for this batch I relented because (1) they are my first batch of students and I taught 5 out of 8 of the F5 Science classes and (2) one of my favourite class monitor came personally to invite me - just can't refuse her.

It is nice to see them - the boys recognisable but the girls (I can't recognised them most of them). So, girls - if you can recognised me and want to let me wish you, just say hello to me first.

So out of 200 or so students, I managed to just greet about 10 - see, that's why no much meaning attending this type of event. 

However, I am glad I go because it is nice to remember back to 20 years ago that there were these boys who were once my students... memories really can be archived in our brain.

Prediction for STPM Biology 2016 Term 1

Hazy environment has prevented my crystal ball from clearing itself to reveal the prediction. Nevertheless, API reading today enable me to come out with this

1. Lipid - either differentiating the molecules of triglycerides and phospholipids or the roles of lipid in living thing.. I think it could be in structure question
2. Differential centrifugation - in essay or structure - this had been tested in the old syllabus so do look out for it
3. Effects of temperature, pH, enzyme concentration and substrate concentration on the rate of an enzyme-catalysed reaction. ---- in essay or structure
4. Inhibition - competitive and non-competitive with reference to Km and Vmax. may need to draw the graphs to compare.. so  can be in essay or structure
5. Glycolysis - either the diagram (structure question) but beware of the enyzmes.
6. Autotroph - classify into photoautotroph and chemoautotroph - essay question maybe just a part of question 20
7. Light reactions - in structure 

As I normally said, this is only a prediction just like I predicted that Manu and Man city will draw this weekend game.. your guess is as good as mine.

Need to mention how they the U6B2s secretly smuggled in the tomyam soup and ingredients into the lab. Luckily they remembered to invite me... otherwise ...

Sports Day

It's Sport Day today. Started from 7:30 to 12:00 noon. This year I was not in charge of the events so couldn't tell which House won. I guess it is the Yellow House.
