New JitSin Branch???

Today mark the signing of the MOU between Asas Dunia and JS Board of Directors at JitSin (still one and only one) for the creation of another one more Jitsin in Seberang Perai Selatan. Many dignitaries came for this occasion which was held in the Dewan Kuliah 1 (of course, no lessons for form 6 classes using the dewan kuliah - wonder whether we will get a new DK????? Dream-lah)

With this signing, we may see the birth of the branch of Jit Sin.
So those who originated from JS now have to be stamped JS BM?

Will JS Selatan be a better Jit Sin than the JS BM?In the past, many top students were from Jawi, Sungai Bakap and Nibong Tebal. Why?
Probably because some 'lower quality' ones from BM especially from JS Primary sneaked into JS through the 'holes'.... comment any one????

Will this be good for Jit Sin? We will see... in 10 years time??????

  1. SMJK Jit Sin BM forever!18 January 2010 at 11:06

many jitsin top students did not score 7A's in UPSR... In jitsin, anything is possible, an anverage student can become a smartie, while a used-t0-be-7A's student CAN get into 5S10.

the theory of sekolah rendah Jit sin students lowering our ranking does not exist, i guess..

anyway, as long as its SMJK, we'll always be supporting it:)

  2. Be careful when supporting something without thinking of the consequences
JS Branch will cause more places in BM Main campus, and if less quality one here, means they can enter JS when now we have the best...

    So think man!

  3. I was a Jit Sin student who hailed from Nibong Tebal.

I still remembered the first day I stepped into the school. I was overwhelmed XD

The fun part of my high school life was that I had got to know some friends apart from people of my own town. So it kinda broadened my perspective too..

Perhaps it wasn't that fun anymore if JS selatan was established.

and was that the infamous minister who didn't keep his promise in the picture? :)

  4. hey sir.
I was a 03-07 Jit Sinese from Sungai Bakap. I was surprised when I read the news about erecting another "JS SPS". In fact, it has been an anticipation for the people from Southern part to own a marvelous school like JS. According to me, this might be because of the far miles and the long journey to go to JS in BM. I believe every student from SPS agrees with what I said.
From economic standpoint, the erection of another JS may trigger some investors to make investment and I guess Southern part will be well-developed and well-improved in the future (but not sure how many years it's going to take. LOL).
And Quality is what we care too. I was quite excited but later on many doubts arose. What about the human resource? Is there any teacher from JS BM willing to go to new JS? and We'd face another problem.
Honestly if I were given an option I'd stick to the original JS. Most probably is because what kae vin said above: get to know many friends from different towns and broaden our perspective as we will learn different things from different people with different backgrounds.

BTW sir, yr blog is fascinating. hahaha^^

  5. Hi Simon,
Thanks for finding this blog fascinating
Another branch of JS in wherever it is means actually a different school. Just borrowed JSin name.
A back door in creating another chinese school in Seberang Prai.
Standard wise, difficult to say - just like Chung Ling Penang and Chung Ling Butterworth
That is why I posted the poll - will JS BM keep its standard/ quality now that students from SP Selatan are all going into JS Selatan and not to JS BM.
