The orientation cum registration of the new cohort of ExaMachs 2014-18 or 20 They came in with pride and high hopes, hopefully they will exit with the same enthusiasm and honour. 

Meeting #2

Meeting begins at 8:30 with the report on exam and follow by Panitia Meeting.

Today is Saturday so what the heck, still got to come to school. Luckily  it ends at 12:30 pm.

A series of 4 days of end-of-year meeting beginning today with the agenda on administration.

My timetable is ready so all teachers can get them today. 

Meeting today starts at 8:30 and ends at 12:30 noon

PMR 2013 Result

PMR result is out with the school achieving GPS of 1.17 (meaning average gred for all subjects is A-)

This is the last year of PMR and this result is the best in the part 10 years. Congratulations to all

Nobel Peace 2014 for Medicine or Physiology

It's the end of the year school holiday and all the ExaMachs had complete their exams be it the original or ulangan.
So I got nothing much to write about ExaMachs and the school (for which is why this time is called a holiday).
I just got a time to surf the net for anything new and since its been a long time I had not look at the Nobel Peace Prize for M/P, I had decided to do it yesterday through my mobile phone.
This year's award for this coveted prize is given to three biochemists

Stream-lining to Form 4

Tan Chin Ee, giving his last briefing for the form 3 students on the selection of stream for their form 4 studies.

There are 5 choices offered for the students to choose from namely, the pure science, science with IT but no Biology,  pure commerce, Commerse with IT but no Add maths, Commerce with Chinese Lit. but no Add maths.

The Head Rolls On

Mr Tan Kim Tong retires today. There is a long assembly in the hall (with speeches and present-presenting sessions).

 This will my third attendance in HM retirement ceremonies (the first being Mr Yong and the second Mr Hwong).

Best wishes to the retiree Mr Tan and hope the new HM will 'rule' JitSin with wisdom and foresight.
But who will be the next HM? That's the multimillion dollar question.....
Tomorrow there will be grand dinner ceremony (but I am not attending because of my two VIP)

Sports Day

Hot and very hot in the morning, as usual for Sports Day in Jit Sin and yesterday evening was a heavy storm. Luckily the field is condusive for the event.

I am a Field Referee for a change this year so I get to go round the field doing nothing. All the field events end by the break time at 10:00 so I sort of free already after that. Anyway this year sports Day ended at 11:30 and I left the school at 12:00 noon.

Can Teen Day?

Can or Can't Teen do business leh? Well, with the whole school presence (suspected because of cocuricullum marks and also the coupons) the whole canteen is crowded with teachers and students buying food (quality wise okay lo) by 8:30 am.

Teachers are allowed to wear casual T-shirts and students in their school T shirts can be see queuing up to play 'games'. I had always wonder what game is so nice to play in a dark classroom.

The day ends with the lucky draw which I as usual do not get. The students were dismissed at 12:00 but the teachers still had to go back at 1:20 pm.

Early survey of the site for ecological study by UBP students. Given 4 sites to choose, they decided to choose the No1 site.. it is expected of them that's why I took them there first.

Becoming a referee in the Sukan Saringan Day 2.. it is real hot this afternoon/evening must be above 32 C. Pity the ExaMachs had to run 2 rounds and throw the shot putts.
I think tomorrow there will be many absentees.
