Flower, Flower Everywhere

Flame of the Forest and Dendrobium flowers today beautified the Biology lab after the gruelsome dissection/murder of the rats in the past few weeks.
Flower girls busy picking up the flowers and some trying to emulate Ronaldo the Softy (qoute from Paris Hilton) in flower wearing fashion.

Yeah, Yeah we got fan

Finally, we got 2 extra fans in the Biology lab even though global warming had increased
I am still waiting for an air-con to be installed. After so many ex-students had graduated with high pay, none can afford to donate one. OMG

Another ex-student

Teng Sin Yee (xstu 05) paid me a visit in school today. Good to see you, Sin Yee.

Starfish and what a story

Given in the school assembly by the great Mr Goay, the story of a small boy and thousands of starfish on the beach touches many lives (but does it touches any minds?)
What is a starfish?
Why do the starfishes get washed up on the beach?
Will the starfish live when it is thrown back into the sea?
Is it wise to pick up a starfish with a bare hand?
Creative tale require creative mind to ponder and synthesize these remarkable questions.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_star
http://www.allsands.com/science/animals/starfishinforma_vaa_gn.htm (Today, starfish live close to the sea around the world and typically stay in groups of forty or more. Most starfish live in the deepest parts of the sea and are often found hiding under rocks or in tide pools. Starfish are sometimes carried into shore during high tide. These are the starfish you may commonly see on the sand or close to shore. Because starfish can only survive two hours out of water, it's recommended that you leave starfish where you find them)

Active or not, huh!

In this hazy morning, the whole of Jit Sin family headed by the the principal decided to have an aerobic exercise (more of a dance to me) in conjunction with the Fitness Week!

Will this 40-minutes exercise increases the stamina of the teachers and students?I had more exercise in the lecture hall and the classroom than this.
There are more yawning students in the class (well, it is as expected since XamMachines are machines.. lo)

Happy Teacher's Day

Thank you to all students of UB1 and UB2 2009 for the largest card ever received so far.

To my overseas students, Shin Ying, Yi Hua, Suo Yee aka Pet Pet and Jing Tsong, lovely cake that will fulfill my ego .... Thank you.

Rat Dissection D-day

U6B1 students undergoing the gruesome exercise of dissecting the rats. The reason they are not in uniform is that today is suppose to be JS Teacher's Day Celebration. They had to torture me and the rats during this auspicious day... but never mind, we shall let them pay for it..... ha ha ha Newton 2nd law of motion.

Practical Drawing for Rat Dissection

For the rat dissection drawing, here are the following guidelines
  1. Experiment 8 (Practical No. 12) (3 drawings) - Fig 7 (choose the right one ) page 13; Fig. 9 page 15; and Fig. 12 page 18)
  2. Experiment 9 (Practical No. 15) (only one drawing) - fig 38 page 37
  3. Experiment 11 (Practical No. 17) (3 drawings) - Fig. 30 page 30 (do not draw the forceps); Fig. 28 page 29; and fig 40 page 37 (only the heart)
Experiment 8 will be carry out on the 17th June so the drawings will have to be done before that.
Happy drawing...
