Jitsin is going to see another teacher leaving. Mr Tor, Penolong Kanan Tingkatan 6, is going to leave Jit Sin for SMK Perwira. He is being promoted to become a Principal of that school. Congratulations Mr Tor.. All the very best.

Taekwon-do Competition

For the second year, the Taekwon-do competition was held in the Basketball court. Four juries were invited they are Master Chan, Mr Ng TA, Mr Ng HK and Mr Nagesthiran. Except for two absentees, all the members gave their very best in showing off their pattern.

Goodbye Sir oops Madam Chua

Today SMJK Jit Sin loses another great Chemistry teacher Pn Chua Yoke Teng as she retires. The school assembly goes on until 9.00 am as students and teachers bade Pn Chua farewell. For the past generations, they are sure to remember Pn Chua's contribution to their Chemistry study. For the future generations, you had missed the teaching of Pn Chua.

Puan Chua retires

Today a group of us joined Pn Chua for lunch as this will be the last time we had lunch with Pn Chua as a teacher of Jit Sin. She will be retiring this coming Sunday and on Friday there will be a Farewell ceremony during the school assembly. Those ex Jitsins are also invited.

R&C Presentation today

Well done to both Amy and Mei Ching for being the presenters for the R&C project. Thus, ends the group work for this year. Good teamwork and real cohesiveness in the form of good leader of Wan Thing, critical jokers of Cai Yin, Chooi Wen and Mei Ching, enthusiasmic Amy, good supportive and helping hands of Shin Min, Chu Hong and the quiet brainy Ay Jing. One for the Basil leaf and another too for the houseflies - ya gals.

AcTION Research --- again?

Great! Very entertaining ... whew so hot .. the lecturer and the hall...

I gave a one-hour lecture to all the SMJK Jit Sin and about 14 other teachers from other schools in BM on the topic of Action Research.
Good experience to be on the stage given an hour talk in BM (at least my BM is still okay)
But still prefer to be the audience than be a presenter. In class is better condition.

ExaMachs in Euphoria or Despair

2010 SPM result out today. Scores of ExaMachs can be seen in school around 10 am. Buzzing and cheeping all the way from the canteen to the staff room signalling the return of the ex-Jitsin ExaMachs of cohort 2006 and some which I had taught them in form 3 in 2006 (like Zi Yang - who had successfully conquered the sciences). SPM 2010 result out tomorrow.. All the very best to those concerned. Tears may flows but the sky is falling down now so please don't make big flood in jit sin. Wait till I am back home first. Congrats first to those that achieved what they had expected.

Harvesting their own saliva for Biology experiment today, most of the students are extremely careful not to give out too little less it will affect their work. Many found out that thier enzymes are too strong thus needed to be diluted.

Plant cells, Animal cells (actually human cells) ... we have to look at them through the microscope. Use only small pieces but usual one la... When use onion, cut big pieces, but when use own cheek cells, so gentle and kiam siap lo...

Ducks in the River

Jit Sin is blessed with a beautiful river that flows at the back of the school. I happened to notice a flock of ducks (or I first thought were egrets or herons) swimming in the river . It is actually a beautiful natural sight but my camera fail to capture it as I was at the Form 6 Bio Lab.

Acting and Search again

As part of the action research, one had to observe the interested ones and the bored already learner. Also note the suffering the pregnant teacher had to endure. As a final act of kindness, why don't we had a quiz on Friday hoh!

These are what is meant by Action mah! OOPS! wrong interpretation of Action Research.. but who cares?

Yesterday I got a chance to bore the teachers of Form 6 in the topic of Action Research. A fun way to get all the teachers to listen to me. Will give them quiz on Friday.
